Everything is polished and comfortable here. So in my heart Zakopane can be hidden, immersed in peace and comfort which does not distract the senses.

When my husband and I decided to breathe new life into the decaying building on the Plac Niepodległości, I decided that nothing would be done here in a hurry. This is because the shape of Aparthotel Cristina matured very slowly. I had to be sure that - before I invite you to relax in my hometown - atmosphere and decor they will be conducive to the feeling of overwhelming bliss. That it will be a place luxurious and intimate. Refined in the smallest details. With the best possible kitchen. A place that will be remembered for a long time.

Three interior styles

Our rooms

The interiors of Aparthotel Cristina were finished without rush. Sculptors' chisels adorned oak furniture, embroidery covered the headboards, and hand-painted ornaments surrounded tiled fireplaces. This is how alpine, highlander and classic interiors were created.

Our Aparthotel

Before we invited luxury to Plac Niepodległości 7, and before some of the two best restaurants in Zakopane were settled here, for 64 years the magnificent building was filled with the clatter of printing machines.

Printing house "Polonia"

It all started in the colorful 1920s. Jan Trybła was looking for a place to build a house where he could live and run a thriving printing house "Polonia". The choice fell on a plot of land on the Plac Niepodległości (which was then called the Market Square) near the park with city bathhouses.

Right next to – barely 10 years earlier – Stefan Żeromski received an oath of allegiance in 1918 from the army and the nation as the president of the independent Republic of Zakopane. In 1928, a brick tenement house was erected with impressive columns in front of the entrance, and its interior was filled with an almost uninterrupted clatter of printing machines. Photos from the archives of the Tatra Museum, which decorate the interiors of Aparthotel Cristina, are all about those special years of the interwar period, when skiing, dancing and bridge reigned supreme in Zakopane.
